Guests frequently praise the spacious, apartment-style rooms with full kitchens and the exceptionally helpful staff, while many recent reports detail severe cleanliness, maintenance, and management issues, including unprofessionalism and a concerning lack of security oversight.
My stay was exceptional from start to finish. Stephanie, the Manager, was truly outstanding. She went above and beyond to ensure that both I and my team felt welcomed, comfortable, and confident about our stay. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident in every interaction. She personally took the time to confirm that our reservations were handled accurately and thoughtfully, ensuring that every arrangement was in place well before our arrival. In addition, she proactively prepared for a seamless departure, making certain that our checkout process was smooth and effortless. Stephanie’s professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care set a remarkable standard for hospitality leadership. She is a tremendous asset to the organization.
Cutest apartment styled Marriott I've been in that's not on resort levels! I stayed at the next door Marriott for a few days but moved over here for a new view; I wish I moved way earlier! Very smooth check in and very nice rooms.
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was since the rate was so low. $109 on a weekend in this area is so cheap! The rooms are individual with an apartment style feel. It even had a real kitchen (full size fridge, dish washer, stove everything!) and a full size couch. Alex at the front desk was amazing and went above and beyond when there was a small issue with our room. We were only planning on staying one night but I have business to do in the area for the next week so I might stay here every night instead of making the 3 hour drive home.
The front desk is fine, but everything else is really bad. Room service only comes every three days. The first room I got had a cup full of coffee stains. I asked for another room. The bathroom floor was dirty with markings from wheelchairs. I had two shampoos and no body wash, so I asked the front desk. They did send someone in, who turned off my AC and left. They also charge 12/day + tax for parking. I don’t know how they got such a high review. Totally disappointed.
The Residence is one of the best places to stay around. These are two story Apartment like living units that far surpas any other hotels set up around. You could literally live in one of their rooms forever. They come with full kitchens large refrigerators , microwave, dishwasher, oven and everything else you would need to live. Because of this everyone I know including me would much rather stay here than at another high end or luxury hotel. The Residence sets the bar high and would be hard to beat.
I recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Seattle Bellevue, and this was by far the worst Marriott experience I have ever had. First, the room I had reserved was not available when I arrived, despite being confirmed that same morning. Instead, I was forced into a so-called “upgrade” that I neither wanted nor found suitable for my family. The upgraded room had multiple issues: a terrible odor from the shower curtain, a broken shower lever, damp and humid carpets, and no elevator access even though I had to carry heavy luggage with a small child. The problems continued throughout my 6-night stay. My housekeeping requests were ignored, and when I finally asked late in the evening, I was handed a shower curtain and told to replace it myself. Even worse, a UPS delivery addressed to me was initially denied by the front desk until I insisted and pointed out the staff’s initials on the tracking information—only then did they “suddenly” find it. The most shocking incident occurred on the 5th night when I returned to find my room door left open after staff had entered to do maintenance work without notifying me. My family was terrified, unsure if someone had entered our room. Yet, despite this serious security issue, the hotel simply said no other rooms were available. I raised these issues twice through official customer service channels, but I have not received any meaningful response. Even the one apology I got—an offer of 15,000 points—was never honored. This was the most unprofessional, unsafe, and disappointing stay I have ever had with Marriott. If this is the level of service Marriott provides, I cannot recommend this property—or the brand itself—any longer.
I rarely write reviews, but this hotel stay was so negative that I feel I have to share. First, the location is terrible. The hotel is completely isolated — no shops or restaurants nearby. Walking anywhere isn’t an option unless you want to risk your safety on a busy highway, and I spent a fortune on taxis just to get basic meals. Second, the reception and payment experience was an absolute nightmare. On arrival, my corporate booking had already been arranged via invoice, yet reception charged my corporate card directly without permission. This maxed out my work card for the entire trip, forcing me to use my personal account for everything. Despite me raising the issue immediately, they assured me it would be released — it never was. I was met with no apology, long hold times on calls, and contradictory answers from staff. The manager wasn’t even onsite, only communicating remotely through the front desk team. In the end, my card was charged for the full stay despite me being told multiple times it was released and that I wouldn't be charged through my card!! So so so frustrating Third, the room itself was very outdated. While it was spacious, the furnishings and bathroom were tired, my key card repeatedly stopped working, and there was even a hoover port in the middle of the floor covered with a piece of plastic. I received no cleaning services for the entire stay. The WiFi was down for the entire first day, and with no reception in the room I couldn’t hotspot — leaving me unable to prepare for my conference. Again, no apology, just “it’ll be back soon.” Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, I would nearly say in my lifetime. Between the bad location, the unprofessional handling of payments, lack of service or apologies, and outdated facilities, I had no choice but to check out early and move to another hotel. I genuinely felt relieved leaving. I'm really sorry to say, and I never do this but, I do not recommend this hotel at all.
We got into our room with floors that either did not get vacuumed or were quickly and poorly vacuumed. We noticed stuff on the carpet, stains on the curtains, scuffs and marks on the closet doors, and then I noticed something else on the ground that looked odd and then grabbed a paper towel to retrieve it and it was a big dried up bloody booger... Obviously, a disgusting thing to find on your hotel room floor. I immediately went to the front desk after they did not pick up the phone and expressed my concerns. I asked to see if there was another room to be moved to and Kate expressed that the hotel is full. She offered to have the floor vacuumed, but that doesn't take away the grossness of finding a nasty booger on the carpet. I asked if we could be transferred to another Residence Inn, she said their systems weren't connected. I mentioned a refund and she said the cancellation fee was the price of a one night stay. So, my only option was to stay in the room, or cancel and not get a refund then come out of pocket for another hotel somewhere else. I also mentioned speaking to a manager and she said they don't have managers there over the weekend... Also, she hardly took her hands off the keyboard and could care less. Since we were there for just one night, we decided to stay and wear our shoes in the hotel the entire time because of what else may be laying around on the ground. The last thing you want when you are trying to feel clean and comfortable in your hotel room.
Excellent overall and my pick for stays in the Redmond area. Rooms are clean, hugely spacious, staff is very helpful. They have a consistent good breakfast with simple options that works for busy days. Quiet and peaceful - i specifically love the cottage like layout and family friendly property!
Found this place on trip advisor. The room was clean but the place needs a lot of work. Our room door had problems sticking and was shimd with random washers. There was rot at the bottom of the door. They use to have a hot tub, but it was filled in. The fire department showed up for a gas leak. There are parts of the owners family living in the rooms of the hotel. There's rot on the eves of the building. There are also random storage buildings with tarps on the roof. There was old dirty dishes and shoes drying stacked on the railing on the way to the guest laundry. Over all the place needs work and new management.
