Sonesta Select Seattle Bellevue Redmond offers a refined stay where contemporary comfort meets understated elegance. Its thoughtful layout and attentive service create a seamless experience from arrival to departure. Every stay reflects a balance of modern style and quiet sophistication.
The Sonesta Select Seattle Bellevue Redmond offers spacious suites with convenient amenities, but recent reviews highlight inconsistent service and cleanliness issues. While some guests praise the location and comfortable rooms, others report problems with housekeeping, parking fees, and a lack of responsiveness from staff regarding concerns. Several reviews mention outdated features and a general lack of attention to detail.
I paid extra to include breakfast, and it was nothing like what was advertised. The cafeteria is currently under renovation, but this was not mentioned anywhere on the website or at check-in, so the continental breakfast I expected was not available. For anyone with dietary restrictions, be warned: my parents are vegetarians, and there was nothing for them beyond fruit, bread, and cheese. If I had known, I would not have paid for it. Check-in sets the tone. The staff member did not explain how to request room service, what time check-out was, or when breakfast was served, and the manner was unwelcoming. Housekeeping was another letdown. Our room was not serviced while we were out, with no heads-up that this might happen, which is not what you expect at a hotel. The one bright spot was a staff member named Valeria, who was genuinely helpful and empathetic when I raised my concerns. A newer employee who handled my complaint at check-out was less so, though I recognize they are still learning. Don't bother booking here!
My stay was pleasant enough and the room was nice. The only negative was at checkout as the man handling it had an attitude that rubbed me the wrong way. Otherwise other than the final checkout everything was good. So as an update to this review the motel did not contact me at all to address my concerns as they said they would. I guess customer satisfaction is not important to them which is a bit of a shame. Really the man who handled checkout really did have a bad attitude towards me, it was almost personal from what I saw and it made me a bit alarmed the way he treated me. I'm just glad I'm not staying there.
Had an excellent stay at Sonesta Select Seattle Bellevue. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean, with all essential amenities. The hotel also offers a beautiful lobby, relaxing lounge/waiting areas, conference and meeting facilities, ATM, free Wi-Fi and a convenient small marketplace. The highlight of our stay was the warm hospitality of Valerie at the front desk. She was always smiling, kind and eager to help. As non-Americans, we sometimes had difficulty understanding the local English accent and tone, but Valerie patiently tried her best to understand us and assist in every possible way. Her kindness and professionalism made us feel truly welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Excellent hotel for both family vacations and business travel. Great value for money and highly recommended for anyone visiting the Bellevue/Seattle area.
I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times for business (I travel for work to the Bellevue area regularly and have stayed all over the area, until finding a place to stick with). I’ve overlooked the many things mentioned here. Stains in the bedding and carpets, the hot tub is always out of service… for at least a year now (which they won’t inform anyone about in advance) Don’t expect to use it. The rooms are dated. They don’t even have USB ports for charging your phone. Dead bugs. Hit or miss staff. They nickel and dime you with a “parking fee” and hold on to your “incidentals deposit” longer than anyone else which is a little weird... but I just use the room for sleep so if the price is low enough, it does the job. Whoever owns this hotel is pretty cheap (I mean really? You won’t even buy a cheap alarm clocks with USB ports for your rooms?). If you’re like me and just need a place to sleep, it does the job. But if you’re on vacation, you’ll get better bang for buck elsewhere. For some reason, Bellevue has a few hotels that offer the barest of minimums for maximum prices. I don’t recommend the breakfast. ?
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, clean and didnt smell like smoke hotel here in Bellevue. The place has a beautiful ambiance and is located near a 24 hour Mexican Restaurant with a drive thru and also Red Robin's Restaurant. The hotel has convenient parking spots and you can easily access your room. There is also and indoor pool and outdoor heated area to lounge. The staff are always accessible and they answer your needs very fast! Thanks to Matthew and the hotel our stay was amazing ? highly recommended ? plus it smells good inside the hotel and no smoke!
They have a very nice lobby and outdoor space. The workers are very helpful and attentive to your need. We liked the room that we got and for a very cheap price, it is really nice. We have a toddler and we’re just 10 mins away from some indoor playground. Would love to stay here again.
Wonderful hotel stay! Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, and a great overall experience. Check-in was smooth, the room was quiet and well maintained, and everything felt welcoming. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Deeply disappointed by a serious privacy breach during our stay. Despite the fact that we had not checked out, housekeeping staff entered our room and began cleaning while we were still inside. This was shocking and extremely upsetting — a clear violation of guest privacy and security. There is absolutely no excuse for staff to enter an occupied room without confirming checkout. This incident made us feel unsafe and disrespected throughout our stay. I have reached out to management requesting an explanation, assurance this won’t happen again, and appropriate compensation for the distress caused. I truly hope the hotel takes this seriously, as guests deserve to feel safe and respected during their stay.
My son and I were very much looking forward to our stay at the Soneta. The images of the property online were beautiful. When we arrived we were not disappointed. Beautiful spot. Check in with Valerie (I believe) was very pleasent. She was a highlight. The room was a great size and the beds were excellent. All good. The first issue arose in the fact that although being in one of the tech hubs of the world the room was very low tech and dated. There were no USB ports for charging or convenient plug ins for chargers. The old light fixtures had outlets but overuse has rendered them all but unusable. For three of the nights we had rain; not much opportunity to stay out at night so we stayed in. Night one several tv stations stop working. All the majors. We couldn't watch the Mariners clinch a championship berth in their own city. This wouldn't have been such an issue if there had been a way to cast to the TV. It was too old for that capability. Highly disappointing. When we asked the staff each day we got the same reply, "We don't know. Sorry." Aside from Valerie at check in they were not helpful. I have been in customer service for over twenty years and I couldn't let any of these issues stand at the rates we paid to stay here. Anticipation of customers needs before they even arise is a hallmark of a customer service oriented team. I expected better.
Been using this hotel for the last 3 years for business and vacation to Bellevue area. Standard Rooms are smaller then most, rooms next to pool are less desirable. Value for the location and amenities for extended stays is great. We had a slight incident during our midpoint work trip, house keeping threw away our food and toiletries. I concluded it was a miscommunication between front desk and housekeeping. Brought up the issues to the front desk staff and GM-Shan took the initiative to fix/reimburse us for the loss. Faith in humanity slightly restored. I will once again keep Sonesta Bellevue in mind for future TDY.
