The Sonesta Select Seattle Bellevue Redmond generally receives positive feedback, highlighted by spacious rooms, convenient location near restaurants, and a pleasant ambiance. However, recent reviews raise concerns regarding inconsistent cleanliness, privacy breaches, and issues with staff responsiveness and unexpected fees.
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, clean and didnt smell like smoke hotel here in Bellevue. The place has a beautiful ambiance and is located near a 24 hour Mexican Restaurant with a drive thru and also Red Robin's Restaurant. The hotel has convenient parking spots and you can easily access your room. There is also and indoor pool and outdoor heated area to lounge. The staff are always accessible and they answer your needs very fast! Thanks to Matthew and the hotel our stay was amazing ? highly recommended ? plus it smells good inside the hotel and no smoke!
They have a very nice lobby and outdoor space. The workers are very helpful and attentive to your need. We liked the room that we got and for a very cheap price, it is really nice. We have a toddler and we’re just 10 mins away from some indoor playground. Would love to stay here again.
Wonderful hotel stay! Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, and a great overall experience. Check-in was smooth, the room was quiet and well maintained, and everything felt welcoming. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Deeply disappointed by a serious privacy breach during our stay. Despite the fact that we had not checked out, housekeeping staff entered our room and began cleaning while we were still inside. This was shocking and extremely upsetting — a clear violation of guest privacy and security. There is absolutely no excuse for staff to enter an occupied room without confirming checkout. This incident made us feel unsafe and disrespected throughout our stay. I have reached out to management requesting an explanation, assurance this won’t happen again, and appropriate compensation for the distress caused. I truly hope the hotel takes this seriously, as guests deserve to feel safe and respected during their stay.
My son and I were very much looking forward to our stay at the Soneta. The images of the property online were beautiful. When we arrived we were not disappointed. Beautiful spot. Check in with Valerie (I believe) was very pleasent. She was a highlight. The room was a great size and the beds were excellent. All good. The first issue arose in the fact that although being in one of the tech hubs of the world the room was very low tech and dated. There were no USB ports for charging or convenient plug ins for chargers. The old light fixtures had outlets but overuse has rendered them all but unusable. For three of the nights we had rain; not much opportunity to stay out at night so we stayed in. Night one several tv stations stop working. All the majors. We couldn't watch the Mariners clinch a championship berth in their own city. This wouldn't have been such an issue if there had been a way to cast to the TV. It was too old for that capability. Highly disappointing. When we asked the staff each day we got the same reply, "We don't know. Sorry." Aside from Valerie at check in they were not helpful. I have been in customer service for over twenty years and I couldn't let any of these issues stand at the rates we paid to stay here. Anticipation of customers needs before they even arise is a hallmark of a customer service oriented team. I expected better.
Been using this hotel for the last 3 years for business and vacation to Bellevue area. Standard Rooms are smaller then most, rooms next to pool are less desirable. Value for the location and amenities for extended stays is great. We had a slight incident during our midpoint work trip, house keeping threw away our food and toiletries. I concluded it was a miscommunication between front desk and housekeeping. Brought up the issues to the front desk staff and GM-Shan took the initiative to fix/reimburse us for the loss. Faith in humanity slightly restored. I will once again keep Sonesta Bellevue in mind for future TDY.
We stayed here for a weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were very clean and location was great. Our only issue was the cafe hours didn't seem to be right. We were told it opened at 7am on a Saturday but around 7:15 it was still not open. Besides that, we'd stay again. Lots of food options around, and little shops within a short drive.
My family and I stayed at the Sonesta Select in Bellvue on July 4 - 6 2025. The price, given the rising economic climate, was reasonable. The staff at the front desk were great and followed up with our requests, the pool and hot tub were great but there was a strong scent of chlorine, the work out area wasn't bad: a weight and bench set and two treadmills. The rooms were clean and spacious enough. The parking area was decent, but if you arrive at the end of the day it can be difficult to find a good parking stall. I recommend the Sonesta to those looking for a clean, affordable hotel close to town but far enough away from all the noise and traffic of the city.
It was a decent place. Nothing to write home about. Keep in mind THERE ARE NO ELEVATORS. So if you have bags you get to carry them upstairs if you get put on the second floor. I was not made aware of this and my family had many bags which I got the privilege of carrying up the stairs….then down the hall. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Other than that, the hotel is OK. But make sure you request that first floor room.
Unacceptable and dishonest – avoid this place If you don’t want to pay a five-star hotel price for a motel stay — don’t stay here. Everything about this experience was upsetting and unprofessional. I booked 5 nights at a confirmed rate and authorized the charge. The next day, without my knowledge or consent, the hotel charged an additional $400 to my card, claiming the rate had changed overnight. When I spoke to the manager, she was completely unhelpful — just repeated that “prices change,” and if I wasn’t happy, well, too bad. No explanation, no accountability, and no solution.
