The W Bellevue offers a stylish and centrally located experience in Bellevue, praised for its vibrant atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. While generally positive, recent reviews highlight occasional inconsistencies in service and room cleanliness, alongside concerns about unexpected pricing practices.
Nice clean rooms, good gym, friendly staff, great little convenience "store" in the lobby, wonderful bar & restaurants. Location is great as there are so many restaurants around it within walking distance as well as the mall. I highly recommend the French Bakery that is 500 steps from the door of the hotel!! AMAZING pastries & French coffee! The AC is my go to place whenever in Bellevue as it ticks all of tye important boxes.
We stayed at the W Bellevue last night for our first time. For the price we paid, we were highly dissatisfied!! We booked a king suite with a city view and prepaid in full up front when we made our reservation. When we showed up to check in the girl checking us in said I see you booked the accessible king suite and I said she was going to give us 2 free drink tickets. I stopped her and asked if that was the correct room because I didn’t book the accessible king suite. She then said oh I guess we must have switched your room. I asked what the difference in rooms was. All she said was there was a shower curtain on the shower instead of a door. I was a bit upset because she did not tell me upfront that they switched me. She lied and said i see you booked the accessible room. So when I questioned her more she then said oh well I can give you these 2 free drink tickets and you can keep the accessible room or I won’t give you drink tickets and I can move you back to your original room. At this point now I’m very upset because they were offering drink tickets to everyone checking in. So we ended up keeping the accessible room but when we got in there the shower was so small and it had a huge handicap seat in it that is attached to the wall. It did fold up but still took up room in the already small shower. Then about midnight we get woke up to water literally bubbling up in our toilet and bath tub. I went down and told the front desk. They said they would check on it. It continued till about 4am in the morning. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep. We paid over $700.00 for this room for 1 night and I have to say, I don’t plan on visiting again! Not worth the money at all! The only thing good about this stay was the location of the hotel.
I have stayed here several times and each stay has been quite different. I would rather not think about my last stay a month ago, but there was only one employee who was the big problem and the rest just added to it. This time, I was welcomed again by Beatrice, whom I have seen many times before. Without exception, she is always in a good mood and her cheerfulness is contagious. She is a hostess through and through and embodies the magic of hospitality. With around 200-250 nights in various hotels per year, she stands out very positively. Above all, she is the reason I look forward to staying at the W Bellevue, because you can come to her with any challenge and she never makes you feel like you're inconveniencing her, even when the hotel routine can be stressful and there's a lot to do. She is always there for the guests. She also greets you warmly by name as soon as you enter the lobby. She knew some of the names in the group, which shows a high degree of appreciation on a human level. The employee whose name I unfortunately don't have (blue suit, tall, slim, and brown hair) is also happy to take care of any concerns and is a good host. Whatever/whenever. Many thanks to both of them for making sure that guests enjoy coming here. The welcome alone was the complete opposite of the absolute disaster of my last stay, where the human touch and empathy of the staff were completely lacking.
W Bellevue delivers a fresh, stylish take on luxury with a fun, contemporary vibe that feels a step above your typical big-brand hotel. The design is sleek and modern throughout — from the chic lobby to the well-appointed rooms with city or lake views. The beds are comfy, the tech amenities are on point, and the staff tends to be friendly and attentive. Its location in downtown Bellevue makes it easy to walk to great dining, shopping, and nightlife without stress. Whether you’re in town for a weekend getaway or a business trip, the W strikes a nice balance of comfort, style, and energy. Perfect if you like your stay with a little personality.
We arrived at the W valet to park our car and were first in line. Despite this, we waited 10–15 minutes while the valet attendant ignored us and served the vehicle behind us first, which arrived later. Our car is low with 22R rims, and it was important for us to use valet specifically so the car could be parked on the main level, not driven into the garage, to avoid potential damage. The valet attendant, I believe his name was Henry, parked the other car in the last available outdoor spot, which should have been ours since we were first in line. We calmly and politely asked Henry to explain why we were skipped. His response was dismissive. He said it only took “a couple of seconds” and that there were “plenty of spots in the garage,” so we shouldn’t worry. We explained again why we chose valet and that, by basic service order, our car should have been handled first. He then began changing his story, claiming they do not park cars on that level at all - which was clearly untrue, as at least five cars were parked there, and we have parked there ourselves many times before. Eventually, he turned around and refused to serve us altogether. The entire conversation remained calm on our side, but his behavior forced us to ask for a manager. Unfortunately, the manager was just as unhelpful and gave contradictory explanations - that cars are not parked there long-term, that they are later moved to the garage, and even suggested the valet could not park our car. However, when I returned four hours later, the same cars were still parked on that level. Both Henry and his manager were arrogant and dismissive, showing a complete lack of basic customer service and respect. These are client-facing roles, and this level of attitude is unacceptable. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this valet service absolutely deserves one. This was by far the worst and most disrespectful valet experience I have ever had. For reference, Henry was wearing a badge that said “Ace”, though I am not sure if that is the valet company’s name.
Booked the W for my daughter and her family and they absolutely loved it. Service was outstanding, very friendly and welcoming. Everything needed is close by. The rooms were comfortable and unique. We had breakfast in their restaurant and it was great. Upscale Hotel with a relaxed feel. Definitely will stay again and highly recommend. Oh, and Bellevue square is steps away with everything you could want.
Overall this is a great hotel, mostly because of the friendly and accommodating staff. They are as attentive as a 5 star hotel, honestly. I stayed for 4 nights with my husband and have no complaints. However, anyone traveling with someone other than a partner, be warned the shower is in the middle of the room with no privacy. We didn’t mind that, but others may find it uncomfortable. The lobby has a lounge with a kind of club feel at night, at least on the weekend. I would say this hotel is geared towards adults, more so couples or those looking to hook up, than families.
We just spent a couple nights here over Thanksgiving and found it to be comfortable and quiet, oddly so, turns out it was mostly empty, which didn’t bother us one bit. Staff was excellent, especially the valet guys, they were so helpful when I needed to run down to the car to retrieve a couple forgotten items. We really didn’t stay long enough to get a feel for the location, spent some time in the mall across the street and walked the park Thanksgiving morning. Overall a pleasant stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. I had only two hiccups, the WiFi kept kicking me off, and the roller shades don’t work well enough to block out the light. Didn’t help that the mall was lit up brighter than a Christmas tree, but it lead to the ceiling looking like a disco all night.
The crew here is so great. The rooms are different, and really comfortable and nice. The location is fantastic. The Living Room lounge is so nice. If I had to live in Bellevue instead of Seattle, I’d live at The W.
?????????? Staying at the W Bellevue is an experience in itself—hands down one of the best hotels I’ve ever visited. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with a mix of modern design, vibrant energy, and an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and playful. The lobby is stunning, with its sleek decor and social vibe that makes you feel like you’ve just stepped into a high-end lounge. The rooms are beautifully designed—spacious, stylish, and filled with thoughtful touches. The beds are unbelievably comfortable (you sink right in), and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer gorgeous views of the city and Lake Washington. The technology in the rooms is intuitive, and it feels like everything was built to make your stay effortless. Service is next-level. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond—warm, attentive, and genuinely focused on making the stay exceptional. Whether it was quick check-in, great local recommendations, or just a friendly smile, the team made me feel completely at home. And the amenities? Incredible. The bar and lounge areas are lively yet sophisticated, the restaurant is top-notch, and the overall vibe makes it a place you don’t just stay at—you want to hang out in. Even small details like the curated art, music, and cocktails make it feel like an experience tailored just for you. If you’re in Bellevue (or even Seattle), staying at the W is a must. It’s cool, it’s chic, and it absolutely delivers on the promise of a luxury lifestyle hotel. I can’t wait to come back.
