This Extended Stay America property in Factoria offers a convenient location and budget-friendly rates, but guests report inconsistent property upkeep and significant concerns over room quality and security protocols. While some staff members garner praise for exceptional service, others are described as rude or dismissive, and reviews describe issues ranging from mold and pests to misleading policies.

I did an extended stay (pun intended) and it was a great experience especially when dealing with so many problems. I didn’t have to worry about my living situation. Every staff member I interacted with was so kind and had great customer service. We did have a problem pop up while staying in the first room. When we brought it to the front desks attention, we were immediately moved into a room we chose (it was available and we preferred the second floor). We also regularly had house keeping checking in on us. While we didn’t use them, it was nice to see they cared. We used our own bedding and towels. There is laundry onsite and free breakfasts. As of me posting this a costs $5 each (wash and dry). They are also pet friendly and wheelchair accessible. There may be more features I’m not thinking of or didn’t try. My only warning - this is an older hotel and does not look to be updated recently. In my personal opinion, the service makes it worth it.

Not much to say about the rooms, but Stacy at the front desk is phenomenal! We are experiencing a weird situation and she's been very accommodating and understanding through all of it. She was also very knowledgeable too. She genuinely deserves a raise.

Dee Dee is amazing! She was the housekeeper for this location and was so friendly. She stopped by this morning to ask if we need anything at all. Dee Dee is over friendly and offers great customer service and she shared that this was not even her home location that she was just helping out. Dee Dee went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

I stayed here for 3 months as a guest with disabilities and a service animal, I encountered accessibility barriers, repeated water outages without notice, sanitation concerns, and dismissive treatment when raising concerns. These issues significantly affected my health and well-being. I have formally documented my experience and escalated the matter to appropriate state authorities. Sharing so others can make informed decisions.

This was originally going to be a 5-star review since the room was very nice, comfortable and clean. however, the other things were unprofessional, unclear, and extremely damaging to me. I reserved a room for a 10 day stay with my ESA certified cat. I checked in and paid and was under the assumption that I was covered through the end of my reservation. Two days before my reserved departure date, I walked into the office to inquire about extending my stay and was told that I had a past due balance and should have vacated the day prior. I asked about this as I was under the understanding that I had paid in full at check-in. The front desk attendee explained that I had not been charged for my cat. I had the funds at check-in had I been charged correctly. I returned to my room and contacted the Extended Stay America customer support, and they reached out the actual location. That representant expressed that I was charged for a one week stay, 7 days, even though I had reserved for 10. He explained that they only charge per week and after the 7 days, if you are staying longer, you have to pay it then, per "policy." NOBODY communicated this to me at check-in. I was unable to secure the funds, and they asked me to vacate immediately. This situation has left me sleeping in my vehicle with my cat, in December. I also lost over $100 worth of frozen foods because they delayed over 24 hours to get me a working refrigerator after I had purchased groceries and they have refused to compensate me for that. I was counting on being able to stay there for a bit after losing my home and waiting for my next place to be ready to move in. Now I have no room, no money, no gas, and no ability to even eat well. At no time did anyone attempt to work with me towards a resolution. If you choose to stay here, keep your eyes peeled and ask a lot of questions or you could end up in my position. Update: I attempted to take them up on their offer of resolving the situation and I booked another stay. I CONFIRMED WITH THE LOCATION BEFORE MAKING THE DRIVE to the location. Upon arrival, while attempting to check-in, I was told “I can’t rent to you.” No explanation, just “don’t rent to Renee.” That left me, for a second time, with no where to go. I HIGHLY recommend you choose another place to go! They don’t stand by their words!

Update: I find it interesting that they responded to my review but they have not communicated with my daughter after they said they would. Nothing has changed. No offer to move them to a better room so am I to assume that they haven’t moved to a more sanitary room because it doesn’t exist at this establishment? This review has been shared with the social worker and she will be communicating the concerns with insurance. Hopefully they lose their contact with insurance. My daughter and her family are staying here to be close to a remaining twin in the nicu. Their home is 2-3 hours away (depending on traffic) Yesterday I came up to babysit her little ones in the hotel while they went to a funeral home to make arrangements for the twin that didn’t survive. This is a devastating time for them and it is crucial that they live in a clean environment. I spent my time cleaning while I was there. The room was disgusting in my opinion. The floors were sticky so my daughter had asked if I could bring some supplies to help clean it since a cleaning staff didn’t seem to be present. I started vacuuming only to discover that there was mold on the inside of the hide a bed my grandchildren were sleeping on. The exterior wall was wet and there was mold along the baseboard and on the laminate flooring under the couch. There was mold on the window sill as well that I cleaned up. This room had barely been surface cleaned let alone deep cleaned for quite some time. It should get a deep clean between each guest since it is an extended stay. (Clearly not happening) There was, what appeared to be, a piece of moldy dog food in the puddle under the couch and I don’t know how long it had been since it was cleaned under there and under the bed. The staff at the front desk was not interested in talking to me when I called her on the phone to inform her of the water and mold. She told me they would need to speak with my daughter when she was back since I am just a visitor. She also made, what I can only assume, a snap judgment that the water and mold was due to the fans in the bathroom, above the stove, and window unit not being left on. (This mess is not from the family staying in there right now.) She didn’t offer to investigate it or send cleaning staff so I told her I was cleaning it up. With a 2 and 3 year old in the room and accommodations that, we are grateful that insurance can provide so they can be close to the baby in the nicu (fighting for his life), this shouldn’t be something they are concerned about. Staying in a room with mold in it introduces bacteria that puts all of them at risk. If I could afford to put them up in something nicer I would but 2-3 months stay in Seattle is expensive and we are at the mercy of what is covered by insurance. I only took a few photos but it is a good indicator of the condition of the room. After what I saw yesterday I would not stay there and I would get them investigated. There is a standard that every motel/hotel has to adhere to and they are not meeting the standard.

My room was good for a couple nights stay. I loved the location and easy access to QFC, Factoria Mall, and the freeway. No issues during my stay and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Virginia and Stacy weird awesome. Would stay again!

Do you like spiders? Darkness? Rude employees? If so, this is the place for you! We arrived from out of town for a family event (funeral), with 6 rooms reserved. The front desk clerk (Mario?) was EXTREMELY rude to my sisters trying to check in, and refused to let them do so without the ID of my brother who had made the reservation, even though their names were on 2 of the rooms. He would not have a conversation with them even after they explained our brother wouldn't be there until almost midnight (it was 4 pm so we'd have to wait for 8 hours?!) and simply turned his back and walked away. My husband went to the office to try to help, and for some reason he had no problem. If we hadn't been there would my sisters have had to wait until nearly midnight to check in? Is Mario just a misogynist, or was something else going on? When we saw the rooms I wished we hadn't already checked in and paid, because we should have walked right back out to a different hotel. Depressing and unwelcoming are the words that come to mind. Our rooms smelled like stale cigarette smoke and mildew, the outdoor hallways were *covered* in spiders and webs, live and dead spiders were inside the room, the carpet was filthy, and the rooms were so dark it felt like twilight even in the middle of the day. Furnishings were sparse and uncomfortable, no bedding was provided for the pull-out couch beds despite the number of occupants indicated on the reservation, there was no screen on the window, no plug on the bathtub or sink, and all sorts of neighbors were arriving and leaving (loudly) at all times of the night. We didn't even bother with the "breakfast" from the front desk, due to not trusting the quality of packaged muffins and unsure of the welcome we'd be given (who'd have thought I'd ever long for Holiday Inn Express's breakfast buffet?). If we'd been able to find ANY other hotels at the last minute we would have immediately left. Unfortunately it was already getting dark, we had small children with us, and we had a funeral to attend the next day. A huge safety concern happened when my husband's key didn't work and he went to get a replacement. The clerk (female, did not get her name) asked him what room number and he said, "250", so she keyed a new card and gave it to him. She did not ask for his name or identification. It was only when he got to our room that he realized we were in room 350 - so he had a working key for SOMEONE ELSE'S ROOM. Meaning anyone could ask for a key to *OUR* room and get in?! Or to the room our adult children were in?! I suppose even cities like Bellevue have run-down properties, and we found it on this trip, in this "hotel." The photos online were misleading and do not at all represent the property in its current state. If the "overall experience" scale went lower, I would give it a zero. It made our experience in town, mourning the loss of our mother, just a little more dark and depressing. So thanks for adding to that ambience, I guess? 0/10, would NOT recommend.

Say there. Your young person working Saturday night was extremely disrespectful. She didn't give clear directions and I had to run all over trying to figure out where my room was. She asked what's wrong your a grown man she said. Yes I'm a grown man and I an your customer and I just spent 150.00 and I don't know where my room is and need better directions. No I didn't appreciate her comment.

I booked a room and arrived at 12:00 AM to find the lobby doors locked and absolutely no staff on site. There was a notice on the door telling guests to use the outside phone to call the front desk — but the phone was never answered. Before I arrived, three other guests had already been standing outside calling repeatedly for 40 minutes, and one very kind woman was trying her best to keep calling for everyone. Despite all of that, no one ever picked up. After waiting and receiving no help, I had to abandon my reservation and search for another hotel in the middle of the night. This wasted hours of my time, added unexpected stress and expense, and left me feeling unsafe and extremely disappointed. A hotel that advertises service but leaves paying guests locked out and ignored at midnight is unacceptable and irresponsible. I will never stay here again — do yourself a favor and book somewhere that actually staffs its front desk.
